Argus

Argos was created as a low cost alternative to more expensive biometric solutions or staffed checkpoints. It's made for locations where laptops or alternate solutions won't work, such as secure offices, airports, and checkpoints. The product architecture houses a long zoom lens camera vertically and only move a light-weight mirror to give pan and tilt functionality. This allowed a compact size and fast movement – it can ID 10-12 people per minute at 3-8 feet. Styling was optimized for serious but minimal look, camouflaging high speed movements behind simple cylindrical form.

CVision MBAS 1

MBAS 1 was designed to defy the nature of security products and minimize intimidation and fear for both technological and psychological aspects. The design appears friendly with clean lines that seamlessly blend from scanner to screen. Voice and visuals on the screen guide first time users step by step through the immigration process. The finger print scanning pad can be detached for easy maintenance or swift replacement. MBAS 1 is a unique product that aims to change the way we cross borders, allowing for multiple language interaction and a friendly non-discriminating user experience.

Vista EY2T

The EY2T is an automatically rotating biometric camera for face and iris recognition. It scans the field of view for faces, then using motors it rotates to aim directly at the eyes for best capture. With 9 front facing sensors and motion, a simple friendly design was needed. The cylindrical pill shape allowed rotation and a calm, non threatening form. The wide spread of LEDs and autofocus allow ID capture at 3 to 6 feet, eliminating manual aiming and allowing greater range. The versatility of mounting, either standalone or in the wall mount, give the product more potential uses for customers.

Unity

Unity was created to identify people and capture biometric signatures when in remote areas, cut off from normal wireless communication. The device combines multiple biometric sensors & a 64bit PC in a rugged, compact design. It can capture dual irises, faces, & fingerprints from hands & surfaces, then work with the information as a stand-alone mobile device. Major challenges were creating a functional yet simplified external design for the complex device, packing so many parts in such a small form, and creating a way to cool the electronics without compromising the sealed case.

Biometric Facilities Access Camera

A biometric device built into walls or kiosks that captures the iris & entire face, then references a database to determine user privileges. It grants access by unlocking doors or logging users in. User feedback features are built in for easy self alignment. Leds invisibly light the eye, and there is a flash for low light. The front has 2 plastic parts allowing duo-tone colors. The smaller part draws the eye with fine detail. The form simplifies 13 front facing components into a more aesthetic product. It is for corporate, industrial, and home markets.
